In order to assess the impact of the eye care programme of Mission for Vision, a dedicated Patient Care Team was constituted in early 2008. Each of the partner hospitals has a dedicated Patient Care Co-ordinator whose job is to ensure the highest level of care to the patient, be it at the camp, during transit or at the hospital. The team conducts an ongoing evaluation with the parameters constantly being modified and improved. The results of the survey between October 2009 and December 2009 are given below.

Watering is a major complaint but this has no impact on the vision of the patients. The patients recover from this over a period of time.

Patients with complaints requiring examination by consultants were advised to come to camps or to base hospital for review.
